That's our kitchen.
Welcome back in the '70ies; ok, it's a bit old fashion and the toaster isn't really working, but there are basic features.

This evening we were having cod on brown rice and vegetables. Sorry I didn't make any pictures, it went too fast down our tummies...

North and South Beaches

Finally good weather and finally outdoors... On Saturday we decided to give Wildwood State Park another chance - last time it was really too windy to enjoy the walk. This Park on the North Shore is easily accessible and just a fifteen minute drive from our home, which is very convenient (no complaints in the car is always very relaxing). We were hoping to use the boat ramp like we did the first time and then walk along the shore, but this time it was closed to public (to the public who doesn't want to climb on the fence) so we took the shortest of the four trails - marked in red - and walked through the beech forest for 1,8 miles. For the blue trail (2,9 miles), the orange trail (2,3 miles) and the yellow trail (3,8 miles) you need to organize food and drinks, unless you want to hear "Are we there yet?" more than hour long. Week 24th. My Birthday. You Witness.

Given the fact that the settimana enigmistica (the Italian crosswords-riddles&puzzles authority!) is my favorite magazine and that some people used to call me like that, no wonder this title is some kind of riddle. Anyway, since some of you were already laughing at the strange coincidences I experienced during this week, I'll explain what I mean. I had birthday and I had my cousin and her family visiting from Italy for some days. Because they are Jehovah's Witnesses - but also people I like a lot - I decided to leave my celebration uncelebrated on the very day - and keep my daughter distracted enough and forgetful - so that nobody would be offended or hurt. I wasn't hurt: as I said, my cousin is one of the persons I like most and since she is nice, sweet and caring that's no effort. Thoughts about Pregnancy

No revelation here: I am not thinking about having a third child!!! A dear friend of mine on LI is going to have her second child; the due date is around mid-January, which means I am not going to see the baby. This is triggering a lot of feelings of course. In the first place because I know how a pregnant woman feels about babies: suddenly there is nothing more important, more beautiful, more precious and delicate than your child, even if it's just as big as a tennis ball and even if it makes you feel sick from morning to evening or tired as if constantly jet-legged. Or too sensitive or just freaked out. Even pathetic at times. When a good friend has a baby, I respect her need for rest but I am very glad to get to see her and the new-born and maybe do something together that might help her feel not too lonely without making her too tired.
